Control of the transfer of bills of material in the feeder system:
With this function, you make the settings to control the transfer of bills of
material (BOMs) from your feeder system to SAP Global Trade Services (SAP
GTS) at different levels:















Advantage for the customer: Reduced need to implement a user exit. More
flexibility in controlling the transfer of BOMs via customizing.

Define Control Profile for Logging: With this function, you make the settings to
control the profiles for your system logs. The control profile enables you to
determine, for each process step, whether the system stores logs on the
database on a long-term basis and what scope these logs have.

disc space, allowing for a streamlined sizing.

relevance of the request or aggregation of LTVDs.

Push-Principle for the transfer of the procurement indicator to SAP GTS:
This function allows to transfer the procurement indicator from the feeder
system to SAP GTS.













Advantage for the customer: more stability in planning of transfer jobs. Reduced
amount of work for the administrators.

/SAPSLL/MENU_LEGALR3) and select Determine Procurement

can be transferred to SAP GTS. The system is able
to run a simulation and to save a corresponding log

Optimization within plant group processing in the case of mixed reference:
Within a plan group, the shipping plant C gets materials through stock transport order
from production plant A. Procuring plant B runs external procurement. Within SAP GTS 3.0, the system had
to run the aggregation according to the worst case principle as the procurement information was
aggregated on plant group level.
Within SAP GTS 7.0 things have changed: now the processing of the procurement information follows a
two-stage approach, resulting in an optimized preference statement as the system runs an individual
determination for each plant.

Exclusion logic of vendors not relevant for requesting vendor declarations:

To determine the preference eligibility of a product, you have to use the statement from
vendor-based long-term vendor declarations (LTVDs) for all the parts of a finished product
that you procured externally. If you procure a product from various vendors, some of whom
do not reside in your preference zone, these vendors cannot issue you a valid LTVD.
Although the deliveries from vendors from outside of your preference zone are not relevant
for requesting LTVDs, you have to consider such deliveries when you aggregate LTCDs.
With SAP GTS 7.0, you can determine all the deliveries that are relevant only for the
aggregation of the preference statement in LTVDs. Based on the deliveries determined, you
can enter a negative statement for a LTVD in the system. This statement tells the system
that it does not have to include this vendor-material relationship in the requesting and
dunning process for LTVDs.

declarations:
If you need to have an alternative contact person in the address of your
requested vendor declarations, you can use a user exit to define this.

The BAdi /sapsll/if_ex_pre_print (Method
pre_doc_contact_person_change) allows you to define
alternative data for addresses used in vendor declarations

Long-Term Vendor Declarations

Solicitation process automated through Web-based supplier self-service:
Using this function, you can allow vendors to connect to your SAP GTS system over the
internet. The vendors are informed via e-mail and are able to update their declaration
themselves.

















Advantage for the customer: This process eliminates time-consuming tasks.
Higher data quality through vertical integration without media discontinuity.

Long-Term Vendor Declarations

Monitoring Long-Term Vendor Declarations:
Within SAP GTS 7.0, it is possible to run a monitoring of long-term vendor
declarations existing in your system. According to the selected data, the system
displays the relevant vendor declarations.










Advantage for the customer: This function allows a better control of the
processes running: the user can for example monitor the vendor declarations
already maintained in the system or the ones requested. If necessary, follow-up
actions can be taken.

Using this function, you are able to maintain vendor declarations and to start an aggregation
accordingly out of the same screen.

Aggregation

Redetermination Preference Statement in case of mixed reference ( in-house production
and external procurement is allowed for a material):
Within SAP GTS 3.0 SP00, only the preference determination determined the preference
statement in the case of mixed reference, i.e. if a new vendor declaration was maintained in
the system (for example because of the different statement of a new vendor) it was
necessary to run a new aggregation and a new determination.
Within SAP GTS 7.0, it is not necessary to run a new determination any more.










Advantage for the customer: Process simplification. Direct improvement of preferential
status by aggregation for mixed reference in case of improved vendor declaration status.

Issue vendor declarations on the basis of customer quotations:
As of SAP GTS 7.0, it is possible to issue vendor declarations on the basis of
customer quotations. Within SAP GTS 3.0 the issue of vendor declarations was
only possible on the basis of invoices.











Advantage for customers: vendor declarations for customers purposes can also
be issued for prospects with a complete integration into sales processes.

GTS integration

Integration with SAP Compliance Management: LTVD worklist:
Precondition: both services SAP Compliance Management and SAP Risk
Management are active in the system.

If a purchase order is blocked within SAP Compliance Management (for example
because of the Sanctioned Party List Screening) the corresponding data will not
be taken into account in the worklist for Trade Preference Processing for
requesting vendor declarations. The purchase order will generate an entry in the
worklist for vendor declarations within SAP Risk Management only after it has
been released in SAP Compliance Management.



Advantage for the customer: the integration between the SAP GTS services
brings more transparency into the processes.
