To determine the awareness of the Filipino
Medical Technologists on the ASEAN
Economic Integration 2015 in line with the
ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement
for Medical Practitioners.

Abstract
The year 2015 feature the birth of the ASEAN Economic Community which will
mark the start of free trade between the 10 member-countries

An extensive agreement like the ASEAN Economic Integration will create a
wide range of opportunities to Filipino Professionals

It utilizes a descriptive type of study as a research design

The Survey Method is employed

The participants of the study are the selected Medical Laboratory Scientists
who are currently working primarily within the domain of the Far Eastern
University Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation - Medical Center, and its
other neighboring laboratories in Quezon City as well will be provided with
questionnaires that will be answered accordingly.
Definition of terms
Awareness the term is used based on the
knowledge of a Medical Technologist in the
Philippines on the supposed ASEAN
Economic Integration in 2015 and its other
agreements.

Readiness the term pertains to the state of
preparation of a Filipino Medical Technologists
regarding the Movement of Natural Persons
among Medical Professionals to other
founding countries of ASEAN.
Methodology
The study is a descriptive study.

The participants to be selected will be the Registered Medical
Laboratory Scientists who are currently working primarily
within the domain of the Far Eastern University - Nicanor
Reyes Medical Foundation - Medical Center. Other Medical
Laboratories in Quezon City will be approached as well.

The researchers will be utilizing the Survey Method.

The subjects will be given questionnaires which are to be
answered accordingly.
Data Analysis
Results of the answered survey will be
analyzed through statistical analysis
particularly the mode, or the most
frequent response. A display of
percentages will be shown. An
inferential technique may be used. The
researchers will seek an advice of an
analyst.
