Communicative fluency games

and activities for the English

language teaching.
Why should we use games in Class
Time?
Games are fun and children like to play them.
Through games children experiment, discover,
and interact with their environment.
Games add variation to a lesson and increase
motivation.
Through games, pupils can learn English the
way children learn their mother tongue without
being aware they are studying.
Games help children learn English without stress
and even shy students can participate positively.
Games make pupils smile!!!!!!

How should we choose games?
A game must be more than just fun.
A game should involve friendly competition.
A game should keep all the students involved
and interested.
A game should encourage students to focus on
the use of language rather than on the language
itself.
A game should give students a chance to learn,
practice and review specific language material.
Why games?

Just because games are fun and children
like to play them.
Games are often used as short warm-up
activities at the beginning or at the end of
the lesson.
Jokes, riddles and interesting stories are
used as warm-up activities and they can
be excellent listening practice.

children enjoy :
