What we know about the
whitening products?
According to Global Industry Analysts, in Asia, a
fair complexion is synonymous to beauty,
higher social position and wealth
One of its definitions was given by Wikipedia as
refer to the practice of using chemical
substances in an attempt to lighten skin tone or
provide an even skin complexion by lessening
the concentration of melanin.
Statement of the
Problem
This research aims to determine the preferred
whitening products in selected area in Quezon
City.

Identify the profile of the respondents, their
evaluation regarding the effectiveness of the
whitening products and the factors influencing
the whitening products preference of the
respondents.

Research
Methodology
Participants: 300 residences in selected areas in Quezon
City who uses skin whitening products.

The researchers made use of Quota Sampling wherein
50 respondents were chosen per district (The Quezon
City has 6 District) and convenience sampling wherein
survey questionnaires were given along schools,
whitening product stores, malls, salon and markets in
Quezon City.

Conclusion
Based on the findings generated from the data
gathered the researchers conclude that a large number
of respondents age are below 25 years old, female,
single, college undergraduate, unemployed and have
5,000 below average monthly family income

The preferred skin whitening products of selected
areas in Quezon City are soap, lotion and cream

Quality is the most considered factor in buying skin
whitening products.
Recommendation
Skin whitening businesses and manufacturers must
focus on products such as soap, lotion and cream that
are most preferred by the respondents.

Manufacturers must continue innovating to retain and
grow the current female market and develop products
that will attract more male user of the products

Manufacturers must adhere to create skin whitening
products at cheaper prices but notwithstanding the
products quality as this is the most considered factor
in buying whitening products, so that current user will
be able to continue buy these products.
