Celebrated every year during Gandhi Jayanti
Engaging people through "acts of giving" - money, time,
resources and skills
Spans the corporate, NGO and government sectors,
schools, colleges and the general public.
Seven days of intensive philanthropy :
Rallied over one million volunteers to the cause of
giving
Spread to over 70 cities, towns, even villages
Assisted by about 1,700 schools and 250 colleges
Raised over Rs. 30 crore in cash and kind.

Apekshaa actively organizes the JOY OF GIVING WEEK in the campus and
Trichy under the mentorship of Dr. Bakthavachalam , Dr. Gururaj & Dr.
Sheeba Narayanan.
The WISH TREE : Wishes of underprivileged children - displayed on the
Wish Tree and goodies collected.
Free Breakfast and Lunch for the Conductors and Drivers who pass by the
NITT bus stop
Ashram Visits and Donations to the needy.
Various Events like Gala for kids, Singing, Dance, Tamil Story Writing, Art
Events, Face Paintings etc.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Educate and Elevate Program :
Free English language classes for the students of R.E.C
middle school on all weekdays to help them develop their
language skills.
Oratory, painting and various other literary competitions
for the students of the school to showcase their concealed
talents and encouraging the winners with rewards.
Computer science classes for the students of std VIII at
REC Middle School on a regular basis. The students are
exposed to both theoretical and practical applications of
computers.

Initiative by Apekshaa to :
identify school students with great talent and
wide knowledge,
identify the best schools that nurture students
by instilling pure knowledge in the minds of
the students,
provide them high recognition in the form of
certificates certified by our dignified
institution and prizes.
The funds raised by charging registration fees
shall be used for Charity.
ASHRAM VISITS
Visits to the most remote and backward ashrams across Tamil Nadu
A day is dedicated for inmates of ashrams during visits with activities
like

Organizing fun events
Distribute endowments in form of appliances
like fans, lights etc.
Donate usable old clothes and mattresses
Visited 'Malarchi' (near Pudukkotai) , a
home of mentally challenged children.

the eve of Diwali.
Assur Ashram during the eve of Holi.

Organizes events like portrait drawing and mobile
photography during Festember for fund raising.
A stall is separately allotted for Apekshaa and
events conducted continuously for a span of 3
days.
Various handmade crafts and greeting cards sold
at the stall and the profits were returned to the
trusts and ashrams..

PRAGYAN
Pragyan ,the international Techno-management festival of NIT-T has a footfall of 3000+
students and guests.
Organize various Literary and fun events
like Treasure hunt ,Scavenger hunt.
Sold handicrafts and greeting cards made by
members of the Organization.
Organized a Dental Check-up Camp in
association with VASAN DENTAL CARE.
Marathon was conducted for a good cause with sponsorship from VASAN DENTAL
CARE. The event was a good success.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS
Gangaru Ashram:
Visited and provided free lunch
to 50 desolated children and
adults including mentally
retarded persons and
differently-abled
Provided crackers and celebrated
Diwali with them.

orphaned poor students
with gifts like crackers
and school bags to
motivate them.

CYBERTRONIX
Cybertronix A mobile and motion controlled
robotics workshop conducted at Anna University,
Chennai
The first Tech workshop conducted by Apekshaa.
Foundation stone for Apekshaas Technical team.
It brought together the top 3 colleges of Tamil Nadu
NIT, IIT M , CEG.
