Apart from the fact that I will be associated with
a Sophisticated Brand, my prime reason to be
with LOreal is the growth path that I foresee for
myself through LOreals Constant growth
through Strategic Sales and Marketing.

The Acquisitions of several Top Brands like
Ralph Lauren, Diesel, Vichy to name a few,
speaks volumes of what LOreal is capable of as
an Organization and what it can offer to its
Consumers.
As an Intern at LOreal, I have sincere
expectations of imbibing the requisite skills to
be able to Analyze a certain problem or task in
hand, and have the flexibility to Experiment
with my thought process and ideas.

Since I will be in the nascent stage in the sphere
of Sales and Marketing, I would also expect my
ideas to be carefully gauged in order to improve
them so as to meet the required expectations
As an Intern, I would without a second thought
prefer Sales over Marketing.

The Reasons are quite vivid in my mind. According
to me, Sales gives you a practical insight to what is
the thought process of individual Customers. Now
with so many abundant options available, every
Customer represents a Market, and to be able to tap
in their mind, Sales would give me that opportunity.
Only when I would know my Consumers better, will
I be able to do the Right Marketing and only when I
see through the eyes of a Sales Person, will I be able
to eliminate any obstacles that might hinder my
Marketing.
As soon as I recall the products of LOreal, the first product that pops
in my mind, and hence associate myself with is Maybelline.

Not that I use any of its Products obviously, but the 2
nd
half of the
Tag line, Maybe Shes born with it. Maybe its Maybelline always
strikes a chord in my head. Maybe its Maybelline gives me the
perception of Experimenting. After all the travelling and 15 months
of Work experience as an HR that I have garnered, I have realized, to
progress, the need for first tapping into your interest and then
exploring and experimenting in that field is necessary. Despite an
engineering degree, I ventured into the realm of Human Resources
to experiment with my Gregarious Nature and pursue a field that
would involve a lot of Interaction and Decision making

My first significant Accomplishment would be the time I got through DCE
(Delhi College of Engineering). I was still acclimatizing to the Indian
Education system after I returned from London. I sacrificed a lot of time to
catch up and simultaneously prepare for some of the toughest competition
papers in this country.
Second Significant Accomplishment would be when I became an Employee
of Aon Hewitt. I went ahead by not availing any company during my
placement season since I had an Interactive role such as Sales and
Marketing or Human Resources in mind rather than a job in a Technical
Domain. As a fresher I struggled to find an opportunity in an MNC for these
kind of roles. So just to gain relevant experience, I started off with a startup
keeping the compensation factor at bay and eventually got a job as an HR in
the Talent Acquisition Team of a leading HR Consulting MNC after the
Startup.
Third Significant Accomplishment would be definitely my admission into
IIM Indore. I gave the CAT exam twice prior to my admission, but received
no calls. But somehow during my third attempt, I managed my Work Life
Balance and prepared appropriately for the competitive exams and here I
am
There was an incident during my work life. When I came
out of my office, I noticed a little girl firmly held by her
Father while they were walking. The girl refused to
budge since she had her eyes and innocent heart set at a
toy that she spotted on the street. The sight of the tears
that she shed were so painful that I went ahead and
bought that Toy that she had been craving for and
presented it to her. Before I gave her the toy, I told her to
stop crying and hug her Father first. You should always
listen to your Father and be a good girl, I continued. The
second she became quite, maybe because of the sight of
a stranger, I gave her the toy. Delighted she was indeed
and that sight made my Day. So you may also say that I
did something different for myself that day as well, since
that was the happiest moment for me the entire day. A
sense of contentment flowed through me, which is all
that matter in the end.
If you dont have what you want, then you
never wanted it that bad in the first place
