Salutations (nama) to three-
eyed (trilocana) iva (ivya),
who has the cobra king
(ngendra) for garland (hra)
and holy ashes (bhasma)
smear His body (ga-rga).
The great teacher, God
(mahevara) who is eternal
(nitya) and pure (uddha),
adorns the directions for
garment (digambara).
All this is the syllable (na) =
first syllable of this loka
(na) is Jupiter letter in
Sanskrit and is in Vrscika ri




ngendrahrya trilocanya
bhasmgargya mahevarya
nityya uddhya digambarya
tasmai nakrya nama ivya

Notes:
Viu worships iva with the name
Mahevara while Brahma worships
Him as Mahdeva
Viu is concerned with the
protection and sustenance of the
souls while Brahma concerns with
the creation of the body and its
intelligence
(ma)
Salutations to iva with
waters from the Ganges
and sandalwood paste
Mahevara is the Lord of
Nandi, the bull of dharma
as well as all of goblins
and ghosts,
He is worshipped with
the red hibiscus
(mandra) and many
other flowers
This is His essence in
the syllable (ma).

Flowers offered to lord iva are
very good for removing all evils
The red hibiscus is very effective in
removing bdhaka and all evils
Sandalwood offered to Lord iva
protects the name and reputation

He is the Primeval Lord,
having brilliant lustre

Notes
yaka means a living supernatural
being, spiritual apparition or [holy]
ghost, [holy] spirit holy because
iva is auspicious or holy, other
yaka may not be so
The yaka born from the feet of
Brahma are benevolent while those
of Kubera are tempting; some are
very low like pica

The Four Spiritual Castes
When a baby is born it is cala [one without caste,
protected only by Caevara and Ca] and is an
outcaste
Recitation of packar mantra reversed 500,000
times brings soul into the spiritual realm

ivya nama
This is the first initiation where a person reciting this
500,000 times becomes a dra from cala birth

Objective = Overcome Ego

Second Initiation
Having completed the first initiation the native is
now a dra must perform the duties of serving
others whereby his spiritual merit shall increase
and ahakra is destroyed
Thereafter the packar japa is done for 500,000
mantra to become a vaiya

Objective = Overcome Manuya doa (human
flaws like greed etc.)

Third Initiation
One who does not make donations will never be
able to overcome the human weaknesses and
therefore, can never rise to this third level
Thereafter the packar japa is done for 500,000
mantra to become a katriya

Objective = Overcome Rkasa doa [power
corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely]

Fourth Initiation
After having overcome rkasa doa the final
endeavour is to become a brhmaa and the
packar japa is done for 500,000 mantra

Objective = Overcome deva doa (excessive
consumption)
Dhyna bja = [hr]
Worship five heads of iva (five forms, tattva)
Skma packar initiation [o] at end

Higher Initiations

This mantra is only to be done by the brhmaa
[wearing sacred thread]

o ivya nama
This is for all others who have got the okra
initiation before having completed the 500,000 x 4
cycles
10,000,000 [Ten million or 1 Crore] Japa is said to
remove most of the sins of past lives

Choose one of the two mantra or whichever iva
mantra is dear to the heart
1. Crore (10M) Japa = Brahma level moka
2. Crore (20M) Japa = Viu level moka
3. Crore (30M) Japa = Rudra level moka
4. Crore (40M) Japa = Mahevara level moka
5. Crore (50M) japa = iva level moka
