My love of water will take me into the navy and continue to nurture this nomadic spirit of mine. I was born in the air over China so I have dual citizenship. Ive lived in many different cities, states, and countries. I love to do anything that pertains to water. Ill graduate next June and travel with friends for the summer. After that, Ill join the navy. From there, I hope to become an aquatic research scientist for a university.
Specific purpose: To inform my audience of the history of theatrical lighting. Thesis statement: The history of theatrical lighting can be divided into three periods: before electricity, the discovery of electricity and the invention of light bulbs, and the invention of lighting instruments for the stage. Before electricity, actors and directors depended on the sun, oil lamps and torches, and chandeliers to light their stages. With the invention of electricity cam the invention of light bulb, a tremendous boon to lighting stages. New instruments, called the ellipsoidal, the fresnel, and the intelabeam, allowed lighting technicians to create more effects with theatrical lighting. Specific purpose: To inform my audience of the process of making scrapbook. Thesis statement: There are four steps to making a quality scrapbook. Collect the materials you want to put into the book. Decide on the order of your materials. Arrange the materials in the book. Cover or bind the book.
