To design a highway which capable of
accommodating a maximum of traffic volume of
average daily traffic (ADT) of 10,175 vehicles so
that a rise in socio-economy of Samarahan can
be achieved

Types of drainage design:

Drainage Maintenance
Cutlassing or cleaning off the ditch regularly to avoid
them from silting up and sending water back to the road.
Provide vegetation to reduce soil erosion at the side
slope of the V-shaped ditch.
Conclusion
Route length is 2.615km with one bridge.
Road standard of R5 with design speed of
85km/hour.
Design consideration is following the standard
Embankment volume > Excavation volume
Therefore, volume of soil needed to fill in for
project purposed is 35413m.
Hopefully can improved the quality of road in
Sarawak by performing good design, better
option for road pavement, effective bridge and
drainage system design.
