What is a business?
A business is an entity created to satisfy the needs of its customers via
a solution.
The solution can be in the form of a product or service, and it solves a
problem for which customers are willing to pay for.
Business generate a profit by providing value.
Profit is generated when
- The value provided exceeds the price customers pay for and
- The cost of producing the product or service is less than the price
the customers pay
A business can become a hub of success for all your stakeholders.
Who is in a business?
There are three personalities in a business:
- Entrepreneurs Inventors
- Invent what will happen
- Managers Coordinators
- Coordinate that it happens.
- Technicians Doers
- Make it happen.

Is it the people who start a business?
People who start a business are not the
entrepreneurs we all believe them to be, but are what I have
come to call technicians suffering from an entrepreneurial
seizure.

Is it the people who run a business?

People who run a business are managers. They
marshal the resources and coordinate the work so that things
get done efficiently. They get people to do things right.
Leaders are also needed to run businesses, they make
sure that people do the right things.

An entrepreneur is an inventor who invents new
businesses
He lives asking the question, Whats missing in this picture?

and then answers it by inventing the missing piece that makes
the picture whole.
To the entrepreneur, the business he or she invents is a
product, a unique product that stands out in a world of
ordinary business products and, through its uniqueness,
captures the attention and imagination of the people for whom
it was invented: its customer, its employees, its suppliers, and
its lenders and investors.
