LESSON OVERVIEW
This is the last week we will be
working with the coordinate
plane!
We will finally be moving into
pre-algebra next week!
Thank all of you for your hard
work, effort, responsibility and
collaboration!

Today we will focus on learning how to draw our own coordinate plane
so that we do not need one that is labeled for us.
We will also focus on determining an appropriate scale based on the
coordinates that we want to graph.
Its easy!

5 Minutes
Can you name an
ordered pair that
CANNOT be placed
in this grid? Explain.

Mr. E is trying to
graph (18, 5).
Discuss how he can
graph this without
changing the size of
the grid.

LESSON RECAP
A) Should you draw and label the
entire coordinate plane before
looking at the points you have to
graph? Why or why not?

B) Why is it important to label the

axes when setting up a coordinate
plane?

C) How can we graph some ordered

pairs without having to change the
size of the grid?
