The main purpose is to provide awareness
among the teachers on the important in
giving attention toward the students ability
(mental, physical, interest, talent)

Meaning

- A process to help the students to identify, to


understand the experience/situation, value and
behaviour which are acceptable in the society

Approaches in giving guidance


Guidance is given for the students self development
- Motivation talk,
Guidance is given as prevention step
- Teachers role to prevent or reduce the discipline
problems (escape classes, drug-abuse, hangout) in
school
Guidance is given as remedial
- To improve the students performance
Guidance is given to face the crisis which occur
among the students
- Crisis refers to the critical cases such as (fighting,
murder-trial, drug-abuse) / some cases need to be
refer to those who have higher authority

In conclusion
Teacher plays an important role as a
ordinary teacher or as a guidance teacher
Teacher should be aware about his
students progress and provide guidance
if necessary
Teacher should be able to acquire good
communication skills, instill moral values
among the students and be a good role
model
