Topic : Unit 12 - On the Farm


Year : 2
Content standard :
4.3 By the end of 6 year of primary schooling,
pupils will be able to plan, organize and produce
creative works for enjoyment.
Learning standards :
4.3.1 Able to produce simple creative works with
guidance based on:
a) Action songs
Focused skill: Listening and speaking
Integrated skills: Reading

Activity : My Farm
Pupils will be given many pictures of

animals, a house, a sun and grasses. They


have to cut the pictures and paste it on a
drawing block. They are assign to create a
farm by using the pictures. They may draw
something on the drawing block. This is
group work.

- Teacher ask the pupils to create their own
farm by using the pictures given. Pupils
also need to complete the handout.

Strengths: Enhance pupils


imagination and also encourage
teamwork.
Weaknesses: Pupils maybe will not
bringing scissors and glue.
Ways to improve: Teacher should
ask the pupils to bring the scissors
and glue on the lesson day or teacher
provided the things.

Activity : Hot Seat


Pupils have to play music chair. Pupils who

do not get a seat when the music is pause,


they will ask to come in front of the class
and hold a stick puppet. They will act as the
animal of the stick puppet. They will
introduce the name of the animal, the
habitat, the sound and many more.

Teacher can show video on farm while singing.
Sing the song with action so that they

understand topic On My Farm better.

Fashion Designer
Pupils will be given a piece of paper with hat

drawing on it.
Individually, they have to colour and decorate
the hat as if they are fashion designers.
Materials needed are;
Drawing blocks
Stationery such as colours and pencil (prepared
by the pupils)

knowledge.
It develops pupils creativity and innovation.
It is exploitable it becomes a stimulus for speaking activity.

Weaknesses:
Time constraint probably Year 1 pupils take time on

colouring.

Ways to improve:
Teacher must scaffold the pupils.
Teacher displays few simple choices on the board as

reference for them.


The activity must be conducted in 2 period class.

Year : 1
Content standard :

rhymes, poems and songs, through
performance.

4.1.1 Able to enjoy nursery rhymes, jazz chants
and action songs through non-verbal response

verbal cues movement


When teacher changes the headgear, pupils
have to change their actions.
example: hat, cap, helmet, crown
