Usage Guide
This PowerPoint deck serves as a foundation to build internal slide decks
for company use.
When copying slides into a separate deck:
- Copy your selected slide by right-clicking or using Ctrl + C
- When pasting, use Keep Source Formatting as your paste option to ensure design or layout is not
altered

Best Practices: Color Usage

Selecting a deck color:
Every PowerPoint deck should be themed based on who is
receiving the presentation. Illustrations and graphics can be
used to bring in additional color but the shell of the
presentation should be limited to two colors: the primary
text color and an accent.
This will help avoid a rainbow or skittles effect throughout
the deck.
Each themed layout is set up as a PowerPoint template
within the Public Folders under Carena Templates

Best Practices
Be cognizant of your margins and leave appropriate white space around elements to
aid in legibility and avoid visual clutter. Some viewing devices, such as a TV, cut off
edges.
By providing this safe zone, or buffer, you can prevent loosing important information.

All decks need to be stamped as Confidential unless otherwise noted.

If this is missing from the footer information check your slide masters and/or pull from
the original template file.

Correct Usage

Best Practices: Alternating Styles

Many of the introductory slides

provided come with more than
one visual design option. Its key
that you alternate from heavy
color slides to primarily white
pages to avoid redundancy.

Best Practices: Iconography and Graphics

When using iconography in your presentations, use
the following per discussion item:
- Carena: Use the bag icon
- Virtual Clinic: Use the cube icon
