Distribution Law & Ensemble Approaches
The distribution law is dependent on how we define
the system. There are three approaches in defining
the system and we adopt the three ensemble
approaches.
1. Microcanonical Ensemble : Isolated system with
fixed energy, E and number of particles, N.
2. Canonical Ensemble : The system is in a heat
bath,at constant temperature with fixed N.
3. Grand Canonical Ensemble : Nothing is fixed.
