Roles of Consumer Rights Protection

National council, District Committees and

Directorate are work to ensure the right
to basic needs.
Right to safety means, safe consumer
from those goods or services which are
risky for life and property. This is
observed by DG.
To ensure this right consumer
organization, committees are work under
this Act.
Informed about quality, quantity, price of
goods are not showing is punishable
under this Act.

compliance and consumer support. Both
court have jurisdiction to take case or

UN guidelines are not properly ensure of this Act.
The right of consumer Education not properly ensure.
All Anti-consumer rights practices are not add in the
punishment.
Trial Proceedings are unsatisfactory and complicated.

Recommendatio
n

** The National Consumer Rights Protection Council

should establish a five-year action plan to identify critical
areas of access to essential needs.
** UN guideline should follow properly.
** Development of policies for industrialization and export
promotion.
** Consumer Education should add to formal educational
system.
** Should take urgent action to support the local
consumer groups, bazaar committees, student consumer
awareness groups and local complaint cells at divisional
