Suggestions
The

involvement of people and private sector through

NGOs could improve the efficiency of SWM .

Awareness

should be created especially at primary level to

the individuals.
Door

to door collection of SW should be organized in a

more systematic manner.

Municipal

authorities should maintain proper storage

facilities to avoid unhygienic and unsanitary conditions.

Suggestions (cont)
Proper

segregation would lead to better option and

opportunities for scientific disposal of waste.

Land

filling should be restricted to non biodegradable,

inert waste and other waste that are not suitable either
for recycling or for biological processing.
Promote

use of shopping bags made of cloth or jute ,

which can be used over and over again.
