Intro

TRADING
Its pioneer in the building material supply industry. Started 25 years ago, importing
ceramic tiles, Louvre glasses and frames, glass sheets, other building construction
materials, and many more from Spain, Italy and China.
HOSPITALITY
Earlbeam Hotel Company Ltd was incorporated in 2006 with the main objective of
engaging in the hotel and tourism development business.
In pursuance of this objective, therefore, the company built a new three star deluxe
hotel situated along the N1 motorway. It is a fifteen minute drive from the Kotoka
International Airport. Earlbeam Hotel has 75 air-conditioned guestrooms. The
guestrooms include 3(three) luxurious executive suites as well as two (2) executive
apartments as well as seventy (70) standard rooms. The hotel since its inception
have hosted many dignitaries and important events.
Due to the fast growing hotel standards in Ghana, Earlbeam Group Holdings is in the
process of redeveloping the current Earlbeam Hotel into a four star category hotel
which will compete with the top of hotels in Ghana to offering quality hospitality
services to its guests.

The skyline of Accra is beginning to reflect the image of an oil


exporting middle-income country. Since the rebasing of Ghanas
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from 1993 to 2006, per capita
income changed from under US$800 to US$1,318. As Ghanas
economy has grown, so has the demand for high quality
residential and office property.
Over the years, the company has diversified, acquired and
invested in the real estate sector. Currently, it owns eight (8)
executive townhouse facility in Cantonments, 10 executive
apartment in Dzorwulu , 24 executive apartment at Dzorwulu
(under construction) , a five-storey office building in Dzorwuluwest Airport and lands located at Dzorwulu and other prime
areas earmarked for future developments.

Alfred D. Darkwah,
Deceased, Founder of Earlbeam
Alfred D Darkwah was born an entrepreneur, stood
by his principles of exceptional focus and hardwork
throughout hardships when his mother passed away,
getting his first break by selling newspapers while
paying for his secondary school education, working
for his starting capital in a factory in Japan.
He came home to Ghana with his wife Elizabeth
Darkwah after saving US$13,000 to start a trading
company that imported sold building construction
material
Earlbeam soon became one of the biggest whole
salers of Building materials, and naturally went into
real estate developments and hospitality industry. He
prudently and with much dedication built a portofolio
of assets without any assistance of his bankers
because of high cost of capital (45 percent interest
rate).
He passed away after losing the battle to cancer in
August 2012.

By default, the baton was passed onto
Alfred after the passing of his father.
Alfred is a trained Medical Doctor and his
passion for business- real estateconstruction- developments started at
the age of 13 years when he began
going on site with his father during
school vacations. Currently 30 years old.
He has overseen the development of a
24 unit apartment building in Accra.
He is a very energetic young man( 30
years old), full of life, very ambitious and
determined to take the family businesses
to another level.

Abena is a very intelligent,


affable and hard working lady.
She is more focused on the real
estate management of the
leased properties in our
portfolio of the despite her
involvements in all the various
businesses as the corporate
legal advisor.
As a trained lawyer, she also
exhibits excellent management
skills.

Michael is the younger brother


of Alfred, he is very enterprising
and leads a focus team as
Company Chief Operations
Officer
Michael is experienced in the
field of psychology and
Accounting.
His strong inter personal skills
and leadership skills to manage
staff makes him without much
effort get things done.

Elizabeth B. Darkwah
Chairperson

Elizabeth has been involved in the business


since its infancy and had always been one of
the solid rock foundations of Earlbeam.
She is more focused on the trading aspects of
the business despite her involvements in all
the various businesses.
Elizabeth is as dedicated to her family as her
role as chairperson of Earlbeam and she is an
inspirational figure.
