Alfred D. Darkwah,
Deceased, Founder of Earlbeam
Alfred D Darkwah was born an entrepreneur, stood
by his principles of exceptional focus and hardwork
throughout hardships when his mother passed away,
getting his first break by selling newspapers while
paying for his secondary school education, working
for his starting capital in a factory in Japan.
He came home to Ghana with his wife Elizabeth
Darkwah after saving US$13,000 to start a trading
company that imported sold building construction
material
Earlbeam soon became one of the biggest whole
salers of Building materials, and naturally went into
real estate developments and hospitality industry. He
prudently and with much dedication built a portofolio
of assets without any assistance of his bankers
because of high cost of capital (45 percent interest
rate).
He passed away after losing the battle to cancer in
August 2012.
