Five Safety Rules for Monday

1. Do not run in the work area or stairs.


Many machines installed inside the work area; Running may cause
trip & fall accidents. Walk along specified aisles.
Do not take a shortcut, even when you are in a hurry.
2. Do not fool around (or horseplay) at work.
Fooling around may cause you to hit a machine or pillar, resulting in a serious injury.
Pushing, teasing, or distracting people working with machinery may cause accidents.
3. Do not walk while occupied with reading or texting phone messages.
Walking while occupied with reading or texting may cause trip and fall, especially on staircases.
Walking with hands in your pockets may result in injury if you fall and unable to stop with
your hands.
4. Do not wear shoes with damaged heels.
Shoes are protective wear to keep you safe.
In an emergency or if someone steps on the damaged /peeled heel of your shoe, your shoe
may come off, resulting in you getting injured.
5. Do not wear loose clothing (e.g. unusually long frills) to work.
Loose clothing can get entangle with moving parts of the equipment resulting in serious
injury. Be careful about lanyard getting caught in shredder machine.
If a button that has come off gets wound up in the machine or hung on a projection, it may
cause a serious injury.

Five Safety Rules for Tuesday

1. Do not climb to a high place

(e.g. Stacked goods) with an unsafe posture.


Working at a high place with unsafe posture (e.g. overstretching) or method may result in
serious injury. Unsafe method (e.g. using unstable chair instead of ladder).
If you have to climb to a high place, use a ladder, step-platform, etc.

2. Wear safety glasses, mask, shoes, and/or other protective equipment in


specified work areas.
Specified protective equipment protects you from hazardous objects and substances.
Correctly understand the purpose and significance, and use them without fail.

3. Use tools and cutting knives correctly.


Do not use worn, chipped or otherwise unsafe tools.
Make sure to check tools beforehand and use them correctly.

4. Do not smoke in locations not specified as smoking areas.


It may result in explosion or fire. Always smoke in specified locations only.

5. Do not place objects in front of fire extinguishers and hydrants.


If you place objects before them or move them without authorization, they cannot be used
in the case of emergency.
Make sure that they can be used correctly at any time.

Five Safety Rules for Wednesday

1. Do not place objects in the evacuation aisle and emergency exits.

Placing objects in the evacuation aisle and emergency exists will make evacuation
difficult in the case of emergency.
Also make sure to always be aware of evacuation routes.

2. Watch your step in stairs or high places (e.g. Ladders).


Trip and fall from stairs or ladders may cause serious injury.
Watch your each step and climb safely.

3. When traveling on-site, walk on designated walkways.


Walking with colleagues occupying the entire width of an aisle,
or racing with colleagues, may cause an accident.
Walk carefully and neatly.

4. Calmly open and close the door. Do not stop in front of the door.

Opening the door suddenly or roughly handling the door may result in an injury.
Whenever you open or close the door, move calmly assuming that colleagues are
present or approaching on the other side.

5. Nobody other than qualified persons may touch machinery, cranes or


forklifts.

A serious injury may occur if a machine is handled by inexperienced personnel.


Keys to forklifts are kept in a locked storage cabinet, so that only qualified personnel
may access them. Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from access to forklift key.

Five Safety Rules for Thursday

1. Problems with machinery or tools must be reported immediately to your


supervisor or machine keeper.

Making decisions by yourself may cause defects or serious injury.


Even a minor problem must be reported.

2. When a machine is to be repaired or adjusted, stop the machine, power it off and
discharge the air pressure (if appropriate).

Call to each other, if 2 or more persons are working on the machine.


Stop the machine. Turn off the main power of the machine. Close the air valve. Verify
that the machine does not operate before any repairs or adjustments are carried out.

3. When the machine is stuck or jammed (by some object), stop it first and do not
forcibly remove the jammed object.

Forcibly removing the jammed object often results in a serious injury.


Take appropriate actions depending on the situation.

4. Wear safety shoes when carrying die-sets or other heavy


objects. Do not carry them in an unsafe posture.

Carrying objects in an unsafe posture may hurt your back and arms.
If the object is too heavy, seek help from your colleagues.

5. Put up a sign before repairing or adjusting machinery or equipment. Point to and


call out actions (to alert nearby co-workers).

Put up a visible sign Under Repair/Adjustment near the power switch.


Someone may turn on the switch unknowingly, which may cause a serious injury.

Five Safety Rules for Friday

1. Conduct a daily check of safety devices for machinery and equipment.

Make sure to check the machine before starting work. Verify safety doors and other safety
operations first.
Major accident injuries may occur if safety devices do not operate correctly during an
emergency.

2. Do not stack loads on carriers (e.g. Trolleys) to a


height above your eyes.
You cannot see forward if the load is stacked to a
height above your eyes, which may result in crash or
contact, causing a serious injury.

3. Do not insert hands into any machine, without ensuring machine has
completely stopped.
Some machines has residual motion, even after STOP button is pressed.
Reminder signage are always posted on machine (if applicable).

4. Squarely and neatly stack loads in a specified location.

Unstable and messy load stacking is unsafe and may cause a serious injury.
Neat arrangement is the first step to safety.

5. Do not bring large quantity of hazardous substances and organic solvents into
your workplaces.
It is highly vulnerable to risks of explosion and intoxication.
Do not bring more than the necessary quantity for the day.
