the two?
Both roles have the same
applications the only difference is
the naming convention of each role.
SDS_DocMan are SDS
(Shipper-Driven-Solution) clients.
They are Client origin users who
also stands as Damco Origin.
Shipper_DM_Nike We cannot
name Nike as SDS because Nike
is not an SDS client.
Therefore, Role Name:
Shipper_DM is only used for
clients that are not SDS client.

Admin access

Granting and Transferring Damco.Admin or Shipper_Admin


access is subject for approval.

Only our Shipper ALM (Florabelle Bambi Gallardo) can


approved such access unlike before, URG can approved the
Admin access.

AMI Admin

Subject for approval from Andrea Josi.

AMI_Internal

Approval from Andrea Josi does not need anymore.

New Updates
Reactivation of User process
User Request form is no longer needed for those users who
are disabled due to the following:

1. Inactivity of 6 months (User account was included in the


Clean-up process from IBM)
2. User account was disabled as per request.

Actions: Provide the root cause why the account was


deactivated. Advise the user to provide the updated e-mail for
account reactivation.

Error show Username, password or OTC was
incorrect, please try again
Cause 1: The PINsafe code is not entered correctly.
Action: Direct the user to the tutorial video on
www.damco.com/mydamco
Cause 2: The user has not received the PINsafe
code and is therefore not entering the correct
userID and PINsafe code.
Action 1: Ask the user to check his/her inbox and
spam filters for the e-mail containing the PINsafe
code.
Action 2: Check the user status in the PINSafe
system, if the user account is active asks the user
to reset his PINsafe code. Remember to tell the user
which email-address is registered in UAM/PINsafe,
so they actually get the code sent to them.
Action 3: Check in PINSafe system if the user is
locked. If locked, unlocked the user then reset the
PINsafe code and let the user know the PIN Code.
Action 4: If several users experience this problem
at the same time, check the UAM synchronisation to
PINSafe service is running (licences is available). If
the service is not running, no users will receive
emails with PINsafe code.

Error show Authentication Failed
Cause 1: The user is entering the correct User ID and
PINSafe code but not the correct password.
Action: Make sure the user is entering the correct
password and knows that the password is sent in a
separate mail (different from the mail that consisting
the PINSafe code). Provide the user a guide on how to
reset his password.
Cause 2: The user has not received/forget his
password and is therefore not entering the correct
password.
Action 1: Ask the user to check his/her inbox and
spam filters for the e-mail message containing the
password.
Action 2: Ask the user to reset his password by
following the guide we provided on how to reset
password. Remember to tell the user which emailaddress is registered in UAM for them to receive the
e-mail message containing the link where the user
can reset his password.

Error show User does not have a PINsafe
account
Cause 1: The user is entering an incorrect User ID or
a correct User ID but disable in UAM.
Action 1: Check in UAM and PINSafe system the
status of the user. If the User ID is not exists in our
database, verify the correct User ID.
Action 2: Check in UAM and PINSafe system the
status of the user. If the User ID is inactive in UAM,
reactivate the user account in UAM.
Action 3: Check in UAM and PINSafe system the
status of the user. If the User ID is active in UAM but
do not exists in PINSafe system, ask the user to wait
for the account to be synchronized.
Action 4: Check in UAM and PINSafe system the
status of the user. If the User ID is active in UAM but
do not exists in PINSafe system, check if the UAM
synchronisation to PINSafe service is running. If there
are no licences available contact anyone from the
following: Parmanand Kukreja, Rahut Sayon or Rahul
Sakunde for assistance in freeing PINSafe licences or
by sending a mail to .

Cause 1: An application error occurred on the server.
Action 1: Impersonate the users access if same issue is not encounter advice the user to clear his browser
internet history, cache and cookies. Then go to https://portal.damco.com and click the Shipper application.
Action 2: Impersonate the users access if same issue is not encounter advice the user to clear his browser
internet history, cache and cookies. Advise the user to go to the direct link of the application:

No application are shown in the Change role
dialog
Cause 1: The user has an erroneous role in UAM
Action 1: Impersonate the users access if same
issue has been encountered. Check the user in UAM
and correct any problems with roles.
Checklist:
1. MYDAMCO Application USE option should be
ticked
2. Appropriate application should also be ticked
(depends on the role)
3. Check if BE Code function is active in MODS.
