Figure 1 shows that the number of Female
Claimants is greater than that of male
claimants.
Figure 2 shows the distribution of Male &
Female Patients across Severity of the
Damage. We can infer that most of the
payments happen across Severity Level 3
followed by Severity 4
Figure 3 shows that the average claim across
genders is nearly same

Managerial Implications

We have observed across the data that the number of Female Claimants is
greater than Male Claimants

A higher number of claims have come through private attorneys and the average
claim for claimants claiming through private attorneys is higher

We can observe that the claims as well as average payment is highest in Private
Insurance

A higher risk of medical malpractice is observed for the older patients
