0311 Rifleman
The mission of the Marine Corps rifle squad is to
locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire
and maneuver, and repel the enemys assault by
fire and close combat.

The rifle squad is composed of 13 Marines
One squad leader and 3 fire teams of 4
men each
Each fire team consists of a fire team
leader, automatic rifleman, assistant
automatic rifleman, and a rifleman

Carried by the automatic rifleman

The AN/PVQ-31A (RCO) is, the official US
Marine Corps designation for the Trijicon
TA31RCO-A4, known as the Advanced Combat
Optical Gun sight (ACOG).
Mounted on the M16-A2, M16-A4, M249 SAW
Optics
-The AN/PEQ-16A is a multifunction Aiming Laser device.
-Emits visible or infrared (IR) light for precise weapon
aiming.
-Allows rapid target acquisition.
-Gives the shooter the ability to illuminate areas.
-Equipped with integrated high intensity, variable focus,
White Light Illuminator.
