The variation in a process refers to how tightly the various outcomes are
clustered around the average. No process will produce the EXACT same
output each time.

The higher the sigma level the better the performance. Six
Sigma refers to a process having 6 Standard Deviations between
the average of the process center and the closest specification
limit or 5service level.
