Data Configuration Overview

Configuration Command

MML commands can be carried out in two modes with LMT

Batch mode. You may organize multiple MML commands in an MML

command script. This mode is applicable for the initial configuration
and mass configuration
One-step mode. You may also input one command at a time and
carry it out directly. This mode is applicable for routine configuration
and maintenance

WBIEb

Function
Supports ATM over E1/T1 bearer mode. Each board provides 32 E1/T1 ports,
applicable to E1/T1 transmission. It also supports Fractional ATM function.

WOSEc

Supporting ATM over E1 over SDH bearer mode. Each (optical) interface board
provides 63 E1 ports and 8 E1 electric ports and supports Fractional ATM and
CES functions. Optical port supports 1:1 bidirectional backup protection.
However, this function and the Fractional ATM and CES functions of electrical port
are mutually exclusive, and therefore cannot be configured simultaneously.

WLPU

Supporting ATM over SDH bearer mode. Each interface board can support at
most 16 STM-1 ports, applicable to high-speed link transmission.

RT-VBR

Service with variable data rates and strict real time

requirement, for example, interactive compressed
video such as videoconference

NRT-VBR

Used in timing transmission as E-mail transmission. In

such a case, some delays and variations can be
accepted by the application

UBR

No commitment or feedback to congestion. It is

suitable for sending IP data. In case of congestion,
UBR cells will be discarded. However, neither relevant
feedback nor the request for slowing down the
transmission speed will be returned to the sender
The BSC6800 also supports UBR+, which ensures the
minimum cell rate

When there are two SCCPCHs
in the cell, the SCCPCH with
the smaller ID bears the PCH.

One SCCPCH can bear 02

FACHs. However, it shall bear
at least one FACH or one PCH.
There may be 14 FACHs in
one cell.

Cell Data Configuration

Local Cell Configuration

The local cell ID information should be configured first

in RNC, so that the Iub interface can correctly deliver
the corresponding logical cell data during the
establishment of a cell

Before configuration, negotiation should be performed

on NodeB side to obtain the local cell ID

By executing ADD LOCELL,

LOCELL the local cell ID and the
relationship between the local cell and NodeB can be
added

Quick Cell Setup Configuration

BSC6800 provides quick cell setup function, in which fewer
parameters are required
ADD QUICKCELLSETUP to add a cell quickly, configure the
basic information for the cell to setup

Modify the automatically configured resources of the cell.

Neighboring cell configuration

Configuration principle

You need configure neighboring relation for a new cell from

the following two aspects:
Add other cells as the neighboring cells of the new cell
Add the new cell as the neighboring cell of other cells.
RNC keeps the neighboring cell information of each cell, and
delivers the information to the UE by means of system
information or measurement control information, so that the
UE can implement cell selection/reselection and handover

Querying Unidirectional Neighboring Relationship

In the BSC6800, cell neighboring relationships are unidirectional.
Therefore, after adding cell B as an intra-frequency neighboring cell
for cell A, you need check whether cell A is also an intra-frequency
neighboring cell of cell B. If so, configure cell A as an intrafrequency neighboring cell of cell B in the RNC to which cell B
belongs
Use the LST SINGLENCELL command to query unidirectional
neighboring relationships in the local BSC6800

Note: This command only available for RNC version 1.6 above
