Introduction
Following the fall of dynasty
of Egypt and Numidia , The pride of
Africa centered on out standing
African kingdoms : Mali , Ghana ,
and Songhai empire were founded
the great cities of
GAO,TUMBUKTOU, and JENNE , in
the seven century , and it was major
terminal for great caravan crossing
the Sahara Timbuktu was
intellectual gathering city ,Jenna
was vital commercial hub. As well
as learning center each of this three
cities has a high status and influence
in west Africa history .
 Songhai according to
the Scholars rose particularly
high in the late 14th and 15
century during the powerful
empire SONNI ALI BER MAIGA
in his time must of African
kingdoms were in cooperated
on to Songhai empire , Sunni
Ali Ber marched on Timbuktu
and captured it with it university
Sankore , witch had thousand of
student from many part of the
world . during seven year war
captured the great city Jenna and
he married the Queen DARA the
ruler of Jenna and eventually he
control over the entire middle Niger
region
 Sunni Ali Ber in addition was a
brilliant administrator he divided the
songhai to separate province each
providence on the control of his own
governor and he developed new
methods of farming and created a
professional navy .
Furthermore he respected the
Christian ,Jewish and Muslims faith and
singe with them a trading partnership
witch accounted for much of his
success as ruler by time his drift 1492
the Songhai empire become the greatest
empire of west Africa
 Finally trade existed
throughout the empire due to the
standing army stationed in the
provinces central to the regional
economy where the gold field of
Niger river ,Songhai Trade with
must neighbor states but
independent gold field . Salt was
so precious in the region .

on metalworkers ,
fishermen and carpenters,
low cost participants
immigrant , who at the
time provided special
privilege and held a high
position in the society ,
at the top where
noblemen and direct

Songhai people ,followed
by the freemen and
traders.
 Conclusion
Songhai was west African state from the early 14th
and 16th century it was largest African state in the
century. followed the death of Sunni Ali Ber the scholars
recorded that Sunni was righteous ruler of mighty empire
which control over 3200 km along the river Sunni was
focus on the admistiration and good management for the
resources to provide a better life for the people beside
