Activities

1. Teacher plays the video clip of farm animals &


pupils guess the animals in the video clip.
2. Teacher asks pupils to identify the animals found
in the video clip.
3. Teacher asks pupils to make the sounds of farm
animals.
4. Teacher asks pupils to act like the animals in the
video clip.
5. Teacher sings/plays the song Five Little Ducks
and pupils listen.
6. Pupils sing the song together.

Activities

7. Teacher gets the pupils to participate by acting &


making the sound of farm animals, while teacher
sings/plays the song.
8. Teacher ask the pupils sit in pairs.
9. Teacher distributes the worksheets.
10.Teacher ask them to listen to the sounds.
11.The pupils circle the animals which related to the
particular sounds.

Focus : Reading
Times : 60 minute
Theme : World of Knowledge
Topic : Farm Animals

2.2 Able to demonstrate understanding of variety of linear and
non-linear text in the form of print and non-print material using a

sounds in a single syllable words within given context.
2.1.3 - Able to blend two to four phonemes into recognizable
words
and read them aloud.
2.2.2 Able to read and understand phrases in linear and nonlinear
texts with guidance.

Objectives :
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be:
Able to blend two(LBI) phonemes into
recognizable words and read aloud.
Able to blend four phonemes into recognizable words and
read aloud.
Able to read a simple text with guidance.
Able to read one or two sentences with guidance.(LBI)
Able to fill in the blanks with the correct words
given.

Activities

1. Teacher asks the pupils name and sounds of farm


animals that they have learnt in the previous lesson.
2. Teacher pastes the words card of ck.
3. Teacher reads the words and follow by pupils and do
the actions for the phonemes.
4. Group work- form the word ending with ck.
5. Teacher reads the text aloud and pupils repeat after
teacher.
6. Teacher chooses the pupils to read the text randomly.

Halim and his friends are visiting Mr. Rajus


farm. Welcome, everyone! Let me show
you my farm at the back.
Everyone follows Mr. Raju around the farm.
Quack, quack, quack!
Those are ducks, says Mr. Raju.
Cheep, cheep, cheep !
Those are chicks, says Mr. Raju.
Cluck, cluck, cluck!
Those are hens, says Mr. Raju.
Moo, moo, moo!
Those are cows, says Mr. Raju.

Assessment

1. Pupils complete the worksheet by identifying words


with the words given.

1. Missing Vowels.
(Look at each picture of a farm animal and fill in
the missing vowels for each farm animals.)
2. Teacher distributes the Farm Animal Word Book.
3. Pupils write the word in neat according to the line.
4. Pupils make the Farm Animal Word Book
(accordion / stick and elastic booklet).
5. Pupils fill in the blanks according to the pictures.
