A week in the IMPA offic e A Snapshot


August is a holiday month in Europe and IMO is in recession so in theory the IMPA office workload should be light. Using
the week 24-28 August, below is a summary of the main jobs undertaken during the week.
Monday
Wash-up from last Fridays summit with Carnival. Notify various members of outcomes, follow through items with
Carnival, process Presidents draft circular to Executive.
Deal with angry Hong Kong Ship Managers whose vessel was criticized in an IMPA circular!
Consider (with Don Cockrill) IMPA input to PIANC Environment Statement.
IMPA 2016 Session matters request to BLK, set out rough structure.
Prepare IMPA circular on Rucksacks.
Deal with IALA proposals for E-Nav project progression.
Tuesday
Query from PCPA re BBC report on Canal Safety.
Finalise IMPA input to IALA ARM 3.
Finalise IMPA input to MAIIF Conference in Turkey
Review NEPIA Briefing Paper on MPX before publication.
Wednesday
Request from Portugal to write to their Government re Competition.
Issue Carnival Notice.
Ladder enquiry from Korean Yard regarding Reels.
Ladder enquiry from INTERTANKO.
Thursday
Prepare letter to Portuguese Prime Minister re Competition.
Prepare IUMI Presentation.
Friday
Finalise and dispatch IUMI presentation to hosts.
Load NEPIA link to Website.
Dispatch IMPA Notice on Rucksacks.
Finalise signing of IALA MoU.
Agree Registration fee for IMPA 2016.
