7- ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT


TO THE BFP

Upon request, the PNP shall render help to the BFP


on the following actions;

RULE 8 - FIRE SAFETY


ENFORCERS
Division 1. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
UNIFORMED PERSONNEL
1. Licensed Engineer (CE,ME,Che,ECE,
etc)
with at least 1yr in BFP service or any
degree course with at least (3) yrs in the
BFP service
A.

2.

Shall completed Fire Arson Investigation


and inspection course (FAIIC) or at least
40 hrs of relevant seminars/ workshops.

3.

Non-licensed and non-engineering


graduate must pass the written fire
safety examination.

B.

NON- UNIFORMED PERSONNEL

1.

Appointed as Engineers; or electrical/building


inspectors; and

2.

Shall undergone at least (20) hrs of relevant


workshop/seminars.

3.

Electrical inspectors must pass the written


examination.

SECTION 8.1.1.2 PLAN


EVACUATORS
A.

Must be a licensed Architect or Engineer;and

B.

Shall undergone at least (40) hours of relevant


training on the Fire Code of the Philippines

C.

In cases where theres no architect or engineer,


a graduate of any baccalaureate degree with
FAIIC Training shall be designated.

CHAPTER 2. FUNCTIONS OF FIRE


SAFETY ENFORCERS.
Section 8.2.1.1 FIRE SAFETY INSPECTORS
I.

Inspect any building, structure, or


facility, of hazardous operations,
storage facilities, and hazardous
materials to ensure compliance of the
FIRE CODE

II.

Conduct fire safety lectures, seminars/workshops and


drills

III.

Prepare necessary documents and files.

Section 8.2.1.2 PLAN EVALUATORS


i.

Review and evaluate building plans and specifications


including protection system.

ii.

Conduct site verification and inspection on building


under construction.
