What is the Koran?


It is the exact words God transmitted to the prophet Muhammad
through angel Gabriel over a period of 23 years.
It came from the Arabic word "qara'a
The first step to understanding the Koran is to understand Arabic
The Koran is written down with His presence and supervision
The order of the Koran is nonlinear
The Koran contain 114 chapters or SURA
Each Sura consists of verses called AYAS
The Koran is divided into thirty equal parts

The Koran is the revealed and protected word of God,


Muslims consider Koran as the highest level of respect.

Stories of Muhammad
Muhammad started spreading the teachings of God in Mecca.
In the early Mecca period of his mission, his concern were those
of an embattled prophet exhorting his community to believe in
God and fear Him and defending himself against the hostility
and skepticism of those who doubted both him and his God.
Eventually Muhammads success in creating a community of
believers made him so unwelcome in his home.

Koran is a Miracle
It is a divinely protected text
It doesn't contain contradictions or doubts
It is a linguistic and literary piece that no one can reproduce

Reflecting on the universe by the signs of his creation and his

Purpose of the Koran


A reminder
Allah it is Who raised up the heavens without visible supports,
then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon
to be of service, each runs unto an appointed term; He orders
the course; He details the revelations, that haply ye may be
certain of the meeting with your Lord.

I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship
