Akal College of Economics, Commerce and
Management (ACEC&M) of the ETERNAL
UNIVERSITY, Baru Sahib accredited by the
AICTE & UGC, New Delhi, was started in the
year 2008 by the Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib.
It offers the offers the following Programmes
i.e. B. Sc. (Economics), M.Sc. (Economics),
B.Com. (Hons.), M.Com. (Hons.), M.B.A.
(Finance, HM, Marketing, Health Care & Agri
Business). And Ph.D in Economics

Philosophy of ACEC&M

It is said that whole life is a big schooling. One

is never too old to learn. What is necessary is
the willingness to learn. All knowledge is
possible through the two eyes - curiosity and
desire. Knowledge is like a vast, unfathomable
ocean.
It is believed that man is integral organized
whole being; man has a unit of interrelated
biological psycho-social and spiritual systems.

Economics, Commerce and Management education is

pursuit of higher education in Economics, Commerce
and Management.

Faculty of ACEC&M education employees a scientific,

holistic and humanistic approach in understanding clients
and the study of Economics provides a good opportunity
to gain an edge in todays rapidly globalizing world. Welltrained economists are in huge demand across industries,
not only at the national but at the international level as
well. Accordingly, in order to excel today in the fields of
industry, trade, commerce, banking, insurance, finance
and the like, one needs to have the competitive edge.
The ACEC&M with a single minded focus on exposing the
student to current, relevant and critical issues in the
international economic system so that she can be ready to
face the challenges upon graduation.

Commerce is a broad orbit of interdisciplinary branches viz

accountancy, business administration, finance, economics, ecommerce and so many. This stream offers a wide range of career
options. "Commercial education is a type of training which, while
playing its part in the achievement of the general aims of
education of any given level, has for its primary objective the
preparation of people to enter upon a business career, or having
entered upon such a career, to render more efficient service
therein and to advance from their present levels of employment
to higher levels".
To execute various commercial functions, most of the companies
are always in search of commerce graduates for smooth working
of the organizations. In order to meet the staff requirement of the
companies, several institutions have come up with the distance
learning programs for the students.

been growing rapidly in India and abroad.
Presently, MBA is one of the programs that assure

in hiring and training a person at the fresher level.

Dividing students in different section has increased the
workload of faculty members which in turn reduces the
efficiency . Either faculty strength to be increased if
classes are divided in sections or a single division
system to be followed.
