Introduction

Visualization has become a integral part of our communication

process.
Visualized
material-sketches
drawing
photographs
transparencies
films
television
computers
generated
visualization etc.
To complete regular instruction has become a common
instructional techniques at all levels of training, learning and
educationextending
from
preschool(
activities
to
organizational training and development programmes.
Training and development programmes can be much enhanced
by the use of audio visual aids.
Audio- visual aids must be carefully designed and checked to
ensure that it meets.
The concept of audio- visual instruction is not as an isolated
phenomenon, but is an interrelated constituent process
operating at varying levels of complexity the elements of which
acquire significance only in the context in which they are used.

Contd.

Thus the effectiveness of visualized

instruction in facilitating participants
training and development is primarily
dependent upon:
The type of visualization used
The method by which the visualized
instruction is presented to participants.
The type of training & learning objectives
that is to be achieved by the participants
attention on the essential learning cues in
the visualized material.

Teaching Aids
Teaching

Aids are instructional media

that facilitate employees to acquire
the knowledge and skills the need to
perform their jobs well.
The prime objective of teaching Aid
is to make the message clear to the
participants.

While using a teaching aid, following design consideration must be

included:
Keeping the information clear, simple and readable.
Checking that trainees can see the aid clearly
Using color & contrast to evoke interest and attention of trainees
especially to highlight key points.
Avoiding elaborate tables, figures, charts and diagram that may
distract trainees.
Adjusting suitable distance between teaching aid and the trainees
(viewers) so as to decide on the size of lettering is needed.
Various types of teaching aid can be used, keeping in mind the
following consideration:
Practicality
Durability
Ability to assist the trainees undertaking of the subject
Cost
Probability
Availability
