Definition: The symptoms include general nervousness and


worrying that affects daily living.

Panic Disorder

Definition: The symptoms feel like a heart attack and often include
a pounding heartbeat and sweating.

Phobia

Definition: The symptoms include an intense or exaggerated fear


of a specific situation or object

Obsessive-Compulsive
Disorder

Definition: The symptoms include a need to perform behaviors or


rituals over and over.

Post-Traumatic Stress
Disorder

Definition: The symptoms include withdrawal or depression after


witnessing or experiencing a distressing event.

people with anxiety

People who feel sad for a long period of time and for
no explainable reason may have a mood disorder.

People with mental and emotional problems need the
help and support of those around them. One way of
demonstrating support is by showing compassion. By
showing compassion, you let others know that you care
about them.
