Formed by

Parallel lines
and
Transversal

Parallel Lines-arelinesin a plane which do not

meet; that is, twolinesin a plane that do not intersect
or touch each other at any point are said to beparallel.

Transversal- is a line that intersects

two or more lines (in the same
plane). When lines intersect, angles
are formed in several locations.

When two parallel lines are given, there

are two main areas:
Interior Angles
Exterior angles

Interior Angles.
Any four angles
formed inside two
straight lines when
these lines are
intersected by a
third straight line.

Exterior angles.
Any four angles
formed Outside
two straight lines
when these lines
are intersected by
a third straight line.

If a transversal
intersects
parallel lines..

Write the angle relationship for the pair

Corresponding Angles. Any pair of angles each of which is on the same side of one of two lines cut by a transversal and on the same side of the transversal.
