Corrective Maintenance-Process Overview

Equipment malfunctions are created as service notifications in the system
Notifications can also be used to record activities that have already been performed
A notification captures the description of the problem, data and time, name of person
who reports the problem, the equipment.etc
Service orders are important for detailed planning of maintenance work
Spare parts, external services and labour are planned and costs estimated for the work
The service order undergoes an approval process that allows procurement to issue out
spares and procures non-stock items and services
Technicians on site or external contractors execute maintenance tasks on equipment
Technical completion is performed on order after work has been done followed by
service acceptance in procurement
Costs are reflected on the order and settled to the relevant cost center
The service order will then be completed for business as the final processing step

Preventive Maintenance-Process Overview

Planned maintenance is necessary to ensure a high availability of equipment in

the long term

It is cost-effective to maintain equipment regularly to prevent a much more

expensive breakdown

In planned maintenance, the scope of the work is planned in advance and

service orders are automatically generated in the system from scheduled
maintenance plans

Service contracts from procurement can also be integrated into the planned
maintenance schedules

After being automatically generated in the system, service orders are processed
in the same way as corrective maintenance orders
