Established in January,2009
(UIDAI) an agency of the GOI responsible for implementing the AADHAAR
scheme.
The authority will maintain a database of residents containing biometric and other
details.
A proof of identity not citizenship.
It valid and accepted any where in India .
It empower poor and underprivileged residents.
Unique ID number will be given to each individual by collecting demographic and
biometric information.
