New Behavioral Network

David Griffin

The Mission
New Behavioral Network was created to provide therapy, counseling and behavioral assistance services for behaviorally
challenged children in Delaware and New Jersey. New Behavioral Network stands apart because this is not just a
service to us; this is personal and we are invested in each client reaching their full potential.

Demograhic Information
NBN offers services in the southern counties New Jersey and all 3
counties of Delaware
Services reach individuals from infants to senior adults through
outpatient and intensive outpatient therapy, newborn nurses and
adult mental health.

Policies and Procedures

All administration must follow HIPPA guidelines
Organization code of ethics and policies
The guidelines of the various contracts and referrals from the state

The structure flows from President to human service worker
President- Linda Bagley
Program Directors Tiffany Patterson
Administrative Manager Vanessa Broughton
Intake Coordinator- Melissa Bryfogle
Human Service Workers- Me

Governance
The organization is governed by the state of Delaware
There are guidelines that we have to follow and uphold in order to
qualify for contracts with the state
To qualify includes credentials and meeting designated client hours
and providing the proper paperwork/communicating with PBH

Funding
NBN is funded through the states of Delaware and New Jersey
These contracts are for the services that we provide and clients are
then referred to us through the state
These contracts can last between 2-3 years

Other Agencies
NBN has a relationship to agencies such as Delaware Guidance,
Catholic Charities, People's Place as our clients are required to
attend therapy to continue services and Division of Family Services
Newborn nurses have a relationship with the additional health care
providers they already have

Strengths, Trends and Challenges

The Strengths is the care for clients, adapting to changes, and the
ability to educate and update staff
Change is a trend that occurs often, from clients discharging and
coming into changes in insurance and state procedures and policies
The challenge comes from trying to help those who are resistant to
the help that we provide

Interns role
My role as an intern has been to shadow and learn how the other
programs are structured and operate through sitting in on meetings
and various trainings
My role is gradually moving to doing more hands on things such as
communicating with the state through e-mail about discharging
clients and arranging locations for staff training
