What is a Leader
A leader is someone who provides purpose,
direction, and motivation while working together
to improve the organization.
A an education leader is educator or
administrator who provides guidance for
students to be successful through the
implementation of 21st century learning skills
and strategies.

Purpose
Providing purpose to our students is
imperative for fundamental change in our
education system
Instilling understanding of Learning Skills,
Information/Media/Technology Skills and
Career and Life Skill
Provide a higher purpose for their learning, on
how one person can make a difference

Direction
Direct when in charge of a classroom, through
dignity and respect of all students
Provide a common vision for students to
achieve
Promote students to be inquisitive and aware of
current problems and future problems

Motivation
Providing students motivation to be innovators
while critically thinking about solutions to
complex problems
Motivate students to become life long learners
for the betterment of the organization
We must motivate not only ourselves but our
peers to elevate their standards

Improve the Organization

You improve the organization by educating
students to seek fundamental change when
needed
By investing in community and business
relationships
Improving the coaching and mentoring
programs for new educators because they are
the future of education
By recognizing and rewarding top performers
both teachers and students

Summery
I truly believe that all students can accomplish
academic achievement through proper
leadership. Every educator must find their style
that works for them. For me the best two types
are transactional and transformative leadership.
These provide me with the necessary tools to
be productive and guide soldiers through our
missions. While students are not soldiers, the
same strategies can be used to teach, coach
and mentor them through the 21st century
learning skills and strategies.

Summery continued
As a leader within an organization we must do
more to ensure our successors are ready to take
our positions in this world. In the classroom
students are the future of this country. They will be
expected to face complex problems globally. Our
instruction must match with comprehensive
solutions. We must recognize the need for
creating life long learners who in turn, will create
the next generations of doctors, policemen and
soldiers. Educators like soldiers are civil servants
who place the need of others above their own.
This must not be forgotten.
