Definition of JIT
A philosophy of manufacturing based on planned
elimination of waste in the form of time, material,
energy and errors pursuing zero inventories,
minimum transactions and zero disturbances
Producing the right part in the right place at the right
time
A production system in which processing and
movement of materials and products are carefully
timed and occur just as they are needed, usually in
small batches.
