PREDATOR
DRONES:OVERVIEW

Nishant RPV, First

Unmanned
Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
developed in 1995
in India .

Low cost and minimum risk to human

and technical resources.
Operates autonomously or controlled
by
distant Ground Control System(GCS).

HISTORY OF UNMANNED AERIAL

DRONES
First UAV attempt was A.M. Lows Aerial Targets
in 1916.
Hewitt-Sperry developed Advanced Automatics
during WW-I which included first scale Remotely
Piloted Vehicle (RPV).
In WW-II jet engines boosted the power of drones
and the model 1001 was added to the US air
force
in 1955.

HISTORY OF UNMANNED AERIAL

DRONES
Remote controlled weapons have been use
since the Second World War, beginning with
television-guided bombs used by the Nazis.
Precision weapons were proven in the First
Gulf War, and the need for greater
intelligence for up-to-the-minute information
shown in the Yugoslav Wars.
UAVs introduced in OIF/OEF.

MILITARY USES
Attacking targets remotely without risking
militants' lives.
Constant surveillance of enemy targets.
Near-instant strikes on targets of
opportunity.
Air support for ground troops and allied
forces.

CIVILIAN USES
Scientific and
academic
research
studies.
Disaster
Management and
rescue
operations.
Police can use
them to track
suspects.

PUBLIC FEARS
Some people fear that drones could be used to
spy on private citizens or attack protestors.
Concerns that it will give the President too
much power to use force without public
knowledge or approval.
Theory that ease of drone use will make the
use
of military force more attractive over
diplomatic
alternatives.

PREDATOR ON THE ROAD

Fully transportable as
it breaks down in SIX
different parts.
Fits into a huge crate
called COFFIN.
The coffin contains:

The fuselage.

Wings.

Landing gear.

Tail surfaces.

Propulsion.

Two payload.

UTILITIES

PREDATOR DRONES:
UTILITIES
According to theU.S. Defense Department,
"The Predator is a system, not just an
aircraft.
They compliment Manned warplanes to a
great
extent and in adverse conditions perform
even
better than them.
Perhaps the most infamous use for the
combat
version of the Predator is instealthy aerial
assassinations, killing thousands innocent

BATTLEFIELD ANALYSIS
Predator drone is a Silent
Killer.
It is a unique combination
of two technologies:
Multispectral Target
System(MTS).
Hellfire missiles.
The MTS detects terrorist
activities in a specific
area
and hellfire missile
accurately targets
those locations.

THE FUTURE OF THE

PREDATOR
Nano-Drones are being
developed for targetedkilling.
Use during peace time
for scientific and
atmospheric research.
UAV is the future of air
wars so that the
FLESHAND-BLOOD controllers
can safely battle
behind
