INTRODUCTION

Green measures means initiatives taken to clean


the environment, including recycling, waste
management, water management, using renewable
energy sources, utilizing reusable resources,
creating greener supply chains, using digital

Green office infrastructure:


TCS views green infrastructure as a key tool in the
drive to reduce energy footprint, material footprint
and carbon footprint. All new offices coming up are
designed as per LEED Green Buildings - Gold rating.
In FY 2013, TCS increased its solar water heater
capacity by 55% over 2011-12, thereby helping
reduce the energy used in heating water for use in
kitchens and gymnasium washrooms.

gets Rs. 200 crore from TCS,

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Bharti Foundation, an


arm of Bharti Enterprises announced a total expenditure of Rs
200 crore as part of their CSR initiatives to construct toilets in
schools.
They firstly contribute Rs 2 crore to construct over 200 toilets
for girls and boys in government primary schools in villages.
Tata Consultancy Services announced it would finance hygienic
sanitation facilities for girl students across 10,000 schools in the
country and said it would spend Rs 100 crore for this initiative.

Foundation adopts hospital in
Khetwadi

Nita Ambani, wife of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, after brushing


roads, as a part of the 'Swachh Bharat' Campaign initiated by
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that the Reliance
Foundation has adopted a hospital in Khetwadi.
"The Reliance Foundation has adopted a hospital and an area
of Khetwadi to see that we keep that area and its surroundings
clean.
It is one of the oldest parts of Mumbai.
It is important that all that all hospitals and schools are in clean
surroundings to see that health is maintained in its optimum,"

Amul Coops plant more than 592.1 lakhs trees


Milk Producer members of Gujarat Dairy Cooperatives- better known
as AMUL have been celebrating the nation's Independence Day
In a novel manner by planting lakhs of saplings across Gujarat and
have taken up an ambitious plan to save the environment by planting
trees, making India green and thereby reducing the effects of global
warming.
The milk producers of Gujarat Dairy Cooperatives are conducting mass
tree plantation drive every year on Independence Day for last nine
years.
In last nine years (2007 to 2015) the milk producers have planted
around 592.1 lakhs trees).

five times a day with soap, Munh (mouth) to adopt
safe drinking water practices and Bum to use a toilet
to defecate and keep it hygienic.


The campaign highlights three brands from
Hindustan Unilever Domex, Lifebuoy, and Pureit.
