Adobe Premiere Pro

Premiere Pro is a video editing program. Its key functionality is to edit video clips
together. Whether this is a narrative film, a music video, or any other type of video
Premiere Pro is the program for this.
Premiere Pro has lots of other functionalities like adding text and transitions, editing
audio and adding effects.
Premiere Pros timeline is better than After Effects for editing video and audio
together. Trimming clips and moving them around your timeline is a lot easier to use
than After Effects timeline (for video editing purposes).
Use for video production and editing.

Adobe After Effects

After Effects is adigital motion graphics, visual effects and compositing

software.
For titles, shapes, 2D animations, adding special effects, After Effects is your tool.
While you can create motion in text, images, and any other layer in Adobe Premiere
Pro it is a lot easier to do in After Effects.
Use for cinematic visual effects and motion graphics.

Premiere Pro - History

Premiere Pro is the redesigned successor to Adobe Premiere, and was launched in
2003. Premiere Pro refers to versions released in 2003 and later, whereas Premiere
refers to the earlier releases.
Premiere was one of the first computer-based NLEs (non-linear editing system), with its
first release on Mac in 1991. Up until version Premiere Pro 2.0 (CS2), the software
packaging featured a galloping horse, in a nod toEadweard Muybridge's work, "Sallie
Gardner at a Gallop".

After Effects - History

After Effects was originally created by theCompany of Science and ArtinProvidence,

Rhode Island, where the first two versions of the software, 1.0 (January 1993) & 1.1,
were released by the company.
CoSA along with After Effects was then acquired byAlduscorporation in July 1993,
which was in turn acquired by Adobe in 1994, and with itPageMaker.
Adobe's first new release of After Effects was version 3.0.
