currency, the first $1,000,000 is also free. Over that amount there is just a 1% fee or
less based on volume

transaction fee to accept payments

Bitcoin to Cash

If you choose to exchange bitcoin you receive into your local currency, then this is where
transaction fees come into effect. We charge 1% to convert bitcoin into your local currency
(or less based on volume). This fee is waived on your first $1,000,000 USD in merchant
processing. (Note that your bank or payout method may have additional fees that do not go
to Coinbase. For example, some banks may have a $0.15 per ACH bank payout fee in the
U.S.

*Service Fees. Each Conversion Service transaction is subject to a fee (a "Service Fee," also referred to as a
"Conversion Fee"). The applicable Service Fee is displayed to you on the Coinbase Site prior to you completing

You shouldnt have to pay fees to use your own money. We dont
charge fees when you convert funds to or from bitcoin with a linked
bank account, when you store your bitcoin, or for bitcoin transactions

There is a credit card processing fee that is applied when buying your
Bitcoins with a credit card through Circle. This adds up to 2.9% which is not
exactly negligible

As soon as you have a Circle account, you have the ability to send an amount
of money shown in either US Dollars, British Pounds, or Bitcoin. It doesn't
matter who you're sending to, since we take care of all the conversion work
behind the scenes.

Anytime you decide to change currencies, you will be making a conversion


using Circle's exchange rates. Well display these rates to you before you
make the conversion. And please be aware that switching from bitcoin to
dollars is considered selling bitcoin and is therefore considered a taxable
event by the IRS.
