2. There are two types of molds used in this
company which are the mold for gas assisted
injection machine and mold for normal injection
machine.

Dimension Inspection of Mold Test


and New Production
Check the dimension of the sample by using the vernier
caliper or video measurement.
PASS the sample if the measurement is within the
tolerance or range.
If the sample is OUT of tolerance, refer to the sample
approved by the customer. If it is same with approved
sample, then PASS.

need to refer to job sheet. The job sheet
will show the time taken needed by the
machine to complete producing the parts.

Conclusions
As

conclusion, we learnt a lot about Quality Inspection in


injection molding industries which involve a lot on parts made
of plastic.
We were exposed to a lot of software involves in this industries
which are Solidwork, Moldex, and Microsoft Office Excel.
We able to practice our knowledge in coding through Excel.
We able to learn about professionalism and ethic in industry
such as coming on times and complete report for each task.
We also able to learn leadership quality and group work skills in
consideration on safety and healthy.
We learn how to prepare professional work records and reports.
We able to build our interpersonal skill.

Suggestion
The

company may allow students to work on


all department related to students
programme for example student work on both
Research and Development and Quality
Assurance department.

The

university needs to provide schedules for


the internship periods that relevant to period
for interns intake by company and the
schedules must be followed according to plan.
