COMPANY HISTORY
1863
Founded in 1863 in the village of Verkhnaya Khortytsya by German settler Abraham
Kopp

1920
After the nationalization of the company the plant became the State Plant number 4

1941
The plant was evacuated to the city of Gorky to the factory Krasnaya Etna

1947
After returning from the evacuation factory workers, began to rebuild their factory, which
was completely destroyed during the occupation of the Nazi invaders

1960
USSR State Planning Committee decided to organize a production of winding wires for
power transformers using the capacity of Zaporozhye Engels plant.

1963-1976
The production of bare conductors for OHL lines was established

1972
Company became part of the production association "ZTR

COMPANY HISTORY
1994
A new page in the history of the plant. The company was reorganized into an open
joint-stock company "Zaporizhzhya Cable Plant

1996
Production of new types of products was established: bare conductors AAC and
ACSR of big sections, and also conductors with enameled and glass fiber insulation

1998
Another workshop for the winding wires was built

1990-2000
Acquired and put into operation stranding machines VILA (Spain) and
BRANDELL (Belgium).

2003-2004
Production of copper conductors for railroad overhead contact system was
established. Since 2005, those conductors are certified by State Enterprise
"Ukrzaliznitsya (Ukrainian Railroad)

2007 - 2009
acquired and put into operation four units of enameling equipment produced by
SICME ITALIA IMPIANTI, and machine to produce transposed conductors CTC-48.

PJSC "Zaporizhzhya Cable Plant" follow market trends and

certifies its products in UkrSEPRO certification body, despite the
fact that manufactured cable and conductor products are not
subject to mandatory certification in Ukraine.
