BACKGROUND

DM Prevalency

In the world = 190 million

Its estimated in 2025, case of DM
will increase up to 330 million cases
and the majority of all case will be
DM type 2(Ashari, 2012).

In indonesia (WHO, 2010),

8.4
million people with DM type 2 in
2000 will increase up to 21.3 million
case in 2010.

Beside on reports DINKES DIY, 1695

(0,93%) patients Diabetes Mellitus
with outpatient in Hospital during
2007 , (Dinkes 2008).

Cont. . .
Complications of DM type 2 Foot injured
Prevention of foot injuriy :

Early detection in foot injury

Foot injuriy care knowledge

Based of Al Quran surat al-Mujaadilah: 11 :

"Allah akan meninggikan orang-orang yang beriman
di antaramu dan orang-orang yang diberi ilmu
pengetahuan beberapa derajat. Dan Allah
mengetahui apa yang kamu kerjakan."

PROBLEM FORMULATION
How is the relation between level
of foot care knowledge with
incidence of foot injury in diabetes
mellitus type 2 ?

PURPOSE OF RESEARCH
General purpose :
For knowing how the relation between level
of foot care knowledge with incidence of
foot injury in diabetes mellitus type 2
Spesific purpose :
For knowing the level of foot care
knowledge, level of foot injury incidence,

HYPOTHESIS
Based on literature review written above, so it can be
concluded that there is a relation between level of foot
care knowledge with incidence of foot injury in
diabetes mellitus type 2 and higher then knowledge of
foot care lowered incidence of foot injury in diabetes
melitus type 2 as a hypothesis in this research.

B. Discussion
knowledge is predisposition factor or base
factor that create health behaviour
notoatmodjo(2003)
Self care is very related with physician
education about self care also level of
knowledge in dm illness people based on
research of Charlene C. et al.,(2011)
When glucose blood level is uncontrollable
will make chronic complication is
neuropati, make nerve fiber change also
illness people not carefull will make
trauma that bring lesion and footulcer
diabetic Waspadji (2006))

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

A. Conclusion
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan
pada bab sebelumnya, maka kesimpulan
penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara
pengetahuan perawatan kaki dengan
kejadian ulkus kaki pada diabetisi tipe 2
(p=0,000) dan semakin tinggi pengetahuan
perawatan kaki semakin rendah kejadian
ulkus kaki pada diabetisi tipe 2 ( nilai
koefisiensi kontingensi sebesar 0,540)

B. Suggestion
Need to do same research with another methode
research and with adequate sample with representatif
also to minimalize biased that will create valid data.
Need further research with another variable that
influence ulcer foot incidency like age, diabetic history,
amputation history, amputation history, smoking history
and another factor which will complete this research
Need to encourage medical practitoner role to increase
knowledge of diabetic patient ab out foot care with
conseling program, information and health education.
foor hospital staff, tools in documentation and
recording of medical record patient is important so the
existing data will be more accurate and comphrehensif
also easy to read, and understandable. This is very
important for reserach interest.
