BACKGROUND
INFORMATION
This family comes from an amazing country, Hindu India.
Leaving many family members behind to retire and live a
good life in Lumberton, N.C. Lumberton is known for a great
retirement place for many who live and know this area. This
family includes a wife, husband (severely demented) and a
mother in law (husbands mother who also has beginning
stages of dementia). The family does not speak English
except for the wife, which can sometimes be difficult to
understand but overall her English is exceptionally well for
the time they have been in the United States. The husband
was referred to us on August 8, 2016 for caretaker neglect.
Caretaker being the wife, although no harm was meant it
was becoming a hassle unknowingly her taking care of two
individuals who have dementia in the home alone. The
husband does have a Certified Nursing Assistance that
comes in a few hours out the day. But it is not enough time
for her to do anything for herself or for the mother in law.
