Change Description

This slide is for OSMU training of ATAE Cluster V2R2C00. It is upda

ted based on the training slide of ATAE Cluster V2R1C01. The main
changes in the ATAE Cluster V2R2C00 are as follows:

Supporting the standby OSMU board for redundancy backup

Adjusting the portal for querying the OSS version number

Allowing users to add remarks for a network interface in the network inte
rface management function

Note: The OSMU of ATAE Cluster V200R002C00 supports M2000 V20

0R013 and U2000 V200R014. This slide is based on the M2000.

Centralized Task Overview

Most of the operations in the OSMU are executed as tasks. All tasks are displayed in the
Centralized Task Management window. You can execute or delete tasks in the Centralized
Task Management window.
There are two types of tasks: Read Task (read only, have no effect on system running), Write
Task (have same affect of system running).

Click Refresh to
manually load the
latest data from the
server.

When a task's Status is Waiting, you can

select this task and click Execute to execute it
immediately.
Notes: Manual execution of a task does not
obey the mutex rule in the OSMU. It will
cause this or another task execution to fail.

Select a task and click

Delete to delete the task.
The tasks whose Status
is Running cannot be
deleted.

should be stopped first.

Support the function of restoring

dynamic data of:
M2000/PRS/Nastar/eSAU/eCoo

1. Dynamic data is configured and backed up on the

M2000/PRS/Nastar/eSAU/eCoo interface. After backup, the
OSMU backs up dynamic data to the backup disk array.

Select an OSS system

(M2000/PRS/Nastar/eSAU/eCoo) and
backup time to restore it.

2. The OSMU copies the selected backup data from the

backup disk array to the M2000/PRS/Nastar/eSAU/eCoo
and then invokes the M2000/PRS/Nastar/eSAU/eCoo
restoration program to restore the data.

Routine Maintenance Password Management

Change OS/DB User Password
On the Password Management tab page, users can change OS and DB user passwords. Note: The
database users must have the same password.
Warning: Ensure that the service system is stopped before these operations; otherwise,
the service system is affected.

If you select M2000 System in Cluster

System, passwords only of all M2000 board
OS users are changed. It is similar with
other systems.

After related passwords are entered,

click Modify.

If you select M2000 Database System,

only M2000 database user passwords
will be changed.

If the Sybase database is used, M2000 V200R013

allows changing passwords of users sa and sybuser
separately. If the Oracle database is used, M2000
V200R013 allows the administrator user and
common users to set passwords separately and their
passwords
can
only be changed once.

Maintenance - Setting Alarm and Heart Port

HeartHands: The OSMU provides a standard handshake interface. The M2000 can detect whether the OSMU works properly by
using the handshake interface. If the handshake is abnormal, the upper-level management system generates an alarm, reporting
the OSMU exception.
NorthToAlarm: The OSMU monitors the other hardware devices in the ATAE Cluster system, for example, OGPU boards, disk
array and so on. If the NorthTOAlarm function is enabled, the OSMU will send these alarms to the M2000.
Type the IP
address of the
upper-level
management
system.
Warning: UniEP V2R1C01(M2000R13.1)
and later support alarm retransmission.
Because the inform protocol is not
compatible with the original trap protocol,
Enable Alarm Retransmission can be
set to Yes only when the M2000 supports
alarm retransmission; otherwise, the
M2000 cannot receive alarms.

Specify the interface type.

After the interface type is specified, the
corresponding port number is displayed in
Port. If Type is set to HeartHands, 23001 is
displayed in Port. If Type is set to
NorthTOAlarm, 31077 is displayed in Port.

New: Create a northbound alarm interface or a heartbeat handshake.

Delete: Delete a northbound alarm interface or a heartbeat
handshake.
