Latin ~ something seen

Through the course of this film's six-year

development period (lengthy, but common to most
films from the studio in question), the number of
central characters swelled to eleven, with some of
the names including Greed, Irritation, Shame and
Embarrassment. When the film was finally released
earlier this year, however, that number had shrunk to
five.

X (Arabic:

X) is the first month of the Islamic
calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year.
Since the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, X moves
from year to year when compared with the Gregorian
calendar.
The word " X " means "forbidden". It is held to be the
second holiest month, following Y. Some
Muslims fast during these days.

Joaquin Murrieta was a Mexican bandit who got rich

after attacking well-stocked wagon trains during the
Californian Gold Rush.
In 1919 Johnston McCulley supposedly received his
inspiration for his fictional character Don Diego de la
Vega better known as X from the 1854 book entitled
The Life and Adventures of Joaquin Murrieta, The
Celebrated California Bandit by John Rollin Ridge.
