Introduction
What is Ethics?
It is a branch of philosophy that studies the nature

and the morality of human conduct.


It is related to other sciences because it also deals
with the investigation of the nature of a man as a
rational being.
The main focus of ethics is to study mans nature
and his behavior.

Formal Object- Morality

-In here, the relationship of ethics is being
compared to other sciences.

Ethics
Logic
It is the study of correct action or doing.
It is aimed at the right acting

and behavior.
Focuses on the demands of the subjective human world and relationships.
People-oriented
It shows peoples feelings

directly through emotions.


It studies the process of correct and organized thinking.
It is aimed at right thinking.
Focuses on the demands of the material, nonhuman world or world of things.
Task-oriented
It shows peoples feelings by doing things for your partner

Studies how man ought to behave


Concerned with mans moral obligation or the result of his behavior
It is mainly the study of human behavior from the perspective of

morality

Studies how man behave

It is not interested in the morality of human

behavior
It is the scientific study of mental and behavioral characteristics.

order

There is no social order if there is no moral order.


The foundation of any society depends on the

moral values of people.


Society depends on Ethics for its underlying
principles.

Ethics enters economics;
Economists have ethical
values that help shape the
way they do economics.
Economic actors (consumer,
workers) have ethical values
that shapes their behavior.
Economic institutions and policies impact people
differentially.
It deals with the study of wages, labor, production and
distribution of wealth.
Fiduciary relationships must be governed by human values.
Moral norms and moral rules should guide peoples behavior.

Professionalism is the conduct that characterizes a
profession or a professional person; or it can also be
the pursuit of a profession for gain or livelihood.
Professions are groups which declare in a public
manner that their members will act in certain ways
according to their profession.

Ethics and Etiquette


Etiquette came from a French word which

means ticket.
Etiquette practically means rules and
conduct of behavior that are supposed to be
followed in special situations but today the
etiqutte refers to a special code of behavior
like saying thank you

Ethics and Education


Education is defined as an instruction or

training by which people learn to develop


and use their mental, moral and physical
powers and abilities.
Education is the one way of gaining
experiences about human life.
