AT GLANCE

Located in Banten , the Province next to Jakarta :


founded in 1957 with the name of Akademi Dinas Ilmu
Agama (ADIA), State Academy of Religion Science.
The names changed
1960 -1963

several times :

: Fakultas IAIN Al-Jamiah Yogyakarta.

1963- 2002 : Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN),


State Institute of Islamic Religion Jakarta.
2002 until now : Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic
University (UIN) Jakarta.
25,000 students (January 2013, increasing by 3%
every year;
1,200 teaching staff and 1000
administrative staff.
Currently it has a school of postgraduate programs
and eleven (11) faculties which run undergraduate

The FST has about :


90 lecturers persons and 4.000 the students.
Seven ( 7 ) Departments:
Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, AgroBusiness, Information Technology, and Information
Systems.
Seven ( 7 ) Study Programs :
the Information Technology , Information System,
Mathematic, Chemistry, and the Physics.
11 laboratories :
the laboratory of Computer Application, laboratory of
computer networking, laboratory of Multimedia,

VISION OF UIN:

To be the one of the 500 best international


Universities

UIN should be proactive and enable to


anticipate the development of technology
without destructing the system which is already
existed.

The new technology enable the UIN to enhance


its height learning performance both for the
professors, students and for the communities as
well.

UIN has already released MOU and Pilot Project


on the Establishment of U-Learning in UIN in

THE PROPOSE OF MOU

To find solutions how to be proactive in anticipating


the rapid development of E-Learning to obiquitousTechnology .

To increase our performance as mandated by the


university being Research University particularly in
the aspect of teaching and learning technology.

To explore benefit programs for human capacity


building, enhancing research & development in
aspect of u-learning technology for increasing our
performance in E-learning;

To recognize the idea of preparing and problem


solving and implement the program activities of ulearning properly and professionally as well as for

To exchange views, discuss and to achieve
understanding;

u-learning in UIN Syarif

SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEMS


To strengthen the centre for ICT with its
strategies and solutions to over come the
problems of communication and information
development.
To enhance closer cooperation and connection
among the management- the rector, the deans
and lecturers
To work hand in hand in taking concrete action
to implement appropriate program activities not
only on human capacity building, communication
and information infrastructure.

SOLUTIONS TO ADRESS THE PROBLEMS


Encourage R&D institutes on communication and
information technology like website / internet,
and the latest technology.
Strengthening capacities of communication and
information professionals and institutions;
Development of ICT to U-technology based
Learning Materials;
propose Projects Cooperation and beneficial
programs activities in cooperation with other
partners like NSDevil- South Korea , etc.
